One in six children, ages 2 to 8, has a diagnosed mental, behavioral or developmental disorder. The most commonly diagnosed mental disorders among children are ADHD, anxiety, depression and behavioral issues. Many of these disorders can be detected and treated starting in elementary school.
Early intervention is essential. By helping children develop coping mechanisms and healthy relationships with adults we are creating a healthier Alaska. JYS believes the best place for kids is with their families. We work to keep families together and create healthy futures for our community. We focus on you and your family. We get to know you and your family, and then base our approach on your strengths and needs. By developing healthy relationships first, we help people gain the skills they need to thrive.
We accept referrals from across Alaska. We believe in making the process easy for both young Alaskans and their families.
Healthy communities start with healthy families. In the U. Your donation makes a difference.
